Welcome to **Homent**. By using our website (www.homent.in) you agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). Please read them carefully.

1. Definitions
“Platform”**: Homent’s website/app facilitating rental agreements.
“User”: Tenant, landlord, or visitor using Homent.
“Service Fee”: ₹200 paid by tenants for access to listings.
“Partner Landlord”: Property owner registered with Homent.
2. Eligibility
– Users must be 18+ and legally capable of entering contracts.
– Landlords must provide **valid property ownership proof.

3. Tenant Responsibilities
– Pay the ₹200 service fee (non-refundable unless service is undelivered).
– Provide accurate information (ID, employment proof, etc.).
– Report maintenance issues via Homent only (not directly to landlords).

4. Landlord Responsibilities
– Ensure properties are safe, legal, and accurately listed.
– Homent is not liable for tenant-landlord disputes post-rental agreement.

5. Service Scope
– Homent facilitates rentals but is not a party to lease agreements.
– Maintenance support covers:
– Electricity/water issues
– Plumbing/Furniture issues
– Exclusions: Major renovations, tenant-caused damages.

6. Fees & Payments
– Tenants: ₹200 service fee per verified booking.
– Tenant has to pay the rent on time every month . A Late Fee of 9% of the rent will be fined after 6+ days from the due date of payment of rent . ( Here Due Date is the MOVE IN Date Mentioned in the confirmation email or the booking date of the room )
– All fees are **non-refundable** unless services are unfulfilled.
7. Termination
– Homent may suspend accounts for:
– Fraudulent listings
– Harassment of other users
– Non-payment of monthly rent on time

8. Liability Limitation
– Homent is not responsible for:
– Tenant-landlord disputes
– Injuries/damages on rental properties
– Brokerage fraud outside our platform

9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Indian law, with jurisdiction in Patna, Bihar.

10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms. Users will be notified via email/app notifications.
